    Gibs,

Excellent detailed description about the defenders in “the box”! I preach this out of numerous formations and it is important to note that when you change formations like when you come out in a TE set with maybe 1 back you now have 6 potential blockers so if the defense gives you six in the box you still have the capability of running the rock with success. The numbers are going to change when you start changing the formations and this is one of the most important facets when determing whether to run the football or not, Great advice you gave about the box because this is usually the number 1 reason why guys say they are having trouble running the football out of sb sets. They are usually beating their heads against a brick wall by trying to run the ball against a defense that has to may defenders for their offense to block.
