Maddenbible Presents : 5 Great Impact Rookies For Madden 10 Teams!
There is always next year is a huge phrase in Madden. They game changes and specifically the draft class gives each team a chance to select a new weapon. No team in the top 5 wants there team to select an O-Lineman. They may become a cornerstone in real life, but this is Madden and we need talent at skill positions first! Here are 5 players who will bring something new to Madden 10!
5. Ramses Barden – A 6’6 WR from the UNIVERISTY OF CALIFORNIA POLY…(early 90’s Chicago Bulls intro playing). Exactly, Cal Poly. There is almost always a consistent theme in every single madden version to date. Speed and Height equals success. EA has already publicly announced that they are trying to move away from this type of game play. Where is my stance on this? I’ll believe it when I see it!
Ramses Barden is a player that is certainly going to boost the Giants into Madden stardom. Being 6’6 with 95 JMP he is going to be a tall tail for defenses in Madden 2010, pun intended. Rocket Catching reigned supreme in Madden 2009 it is one of the most hated exploits in Madden history. EA has confirmed that they are making a strong attempt in removing this type of animation from this year’s game by bringing back the old school feel of Madden on the Current Gen systems (Xbox and PS2). If EA fails at this expect Ramses Barden to be one of the most controversial players in the game.
4. Percy Harvin – 97 speed, 98 acc, 99 agil, and 96 elusiveness. Combine him with Adrian Peterson, Bernard Berrian, Tavarias Jackson, and Sidney Rice and expect to see one of the most entertaining and prolific offenses in Madden 2010. Speed Kills and with three offensive threats all 96 speed and above(assuming Berrian and Peterson stay at there 2009 ratings, 97 and 96) with a QB that is extremely mobile expect to see a lot of the Vikings in your online quarrels next season.
3. Jeremy Maclin – Another speedster from MO. Maclin boasts 96 speed, 98 acc 96 agil, and 93 elusiveness. We put Maclin ahead of Harvin simply because the speed on the Eagles is absolutely ridiculous. In my opinion the Eagles are going to be all the rave next year. If the game is to be all about “dots†(quick passes and reads) expect to see all your highly ranked players using the Eagles. Maclin will team up with Westbrook 97 speed, Desean Jackson 97 speed, and Kevin Curtis 96 speed. Let’s also not forget about Mcnabb who is a viable asset in the ground game.
2. Pat White- This is more a combination addition then anything else. The drafting of Pat White to the Dolphins is almost the perfect scenario for the newest addition to Madden 2010, the Wildcat formation! There is no doubt about it the Wildcat is going to be a love hate relationship for most Madden gamers. There is going to be certain few that are thrilled about this formation and on the flipside there will be some that are going to ban the use of this formation right from the get go.
The reason for all the controversy surrounding this hot topic is the potential for all the glitches that may arise from it. Anytime Madden has added a new feature there has always been glitches that have come with it ie HB Direct Snap, WR Double Pass, Formation shifting etc.
Will the Wildcat be any different from those? Inside information from, lead game designer for Madden 2010, Ian Cummings says YES! A few things note worthy that Ian has confirmed. You will NOT be able to audible to and from the Wildcat. This is absolutely huge in terms of creativity with this formation. A big worry for many gamers hardcore and sim gamers alike, is what happens if we come out in the Wildcat and then audible to something else? We will then have potential to use the Wildcat in ways that it was not intended by having any formation in the game be used as the Wildcat. Ian put all these theory’s to waste today via Twitter! Another thing to focus on is that Ian and his team have spent hours on end in tweaking the game so that the defense and can defend this formation. This differs from previous years where features where added and that was the end of it.
Pat White and the Wildcat will certainly create some noise in the online world, lets take a look at some of his key attributes…87 speed 92 accel 92 agil 85 THP 72 THA 95 elusiveness 95 spin 94 juke 90 throw on the run.
Will you be implementing Pat White next season?
1. Darius Hayward Bey- See all the above (besides the throwing ability of Pat White) and you basically have potential for one of the greatest Madden players of all time, in his rookie campaign. Being 6’2, and having 97 speed and 97 accel hmm looks like the rebirth of Randy Moss in Raider nation. The Raiders are my dark horse team for Madden 2010. This is going to be the very first time that I start my labbing with. They are the perfect Madden team. Crazy speed on defense, height and speed on offense, dominating HB, and a mobile QB with a big arm. There is literally no type of offense you can’t run with this team. Expect Hayward bey to cause headaches for Madden gamers all through the 2010 Madden season!
