SGibs Money Madden 09 Plays! Play 3

Alright just a reminder that Madden Bible has the best money plays in the Madden Community!

If you weren’t a believer when you came here, then here is another FREE play to put into your arsenal!

Straight from one of the most respected players in the EAFL and Madden Community Sgibs7!

Pass Balanced

Special Two play Combo (continuation of the Trips Twin Te formation)

Trip Twin Te – Trips Strike

Setup

1. Place the outside WR on a fade.

2. Place the inside slot WR on a curl.

3. Slide protect right.

4. Motion the WR on the in and out route.

5. Snap the ball once the WR passes the TE’s

This is one of those plays that is extremely tough to defend. The combination of routes renders it almost unstoppable when the right reads are made. The two blue routes should look very similar to anyone that plays with the Run N’ Gun playbook. That’s because they are! It is just in a different set up.

The motion run by the WR is a beautiful faint for us. Once we have learned to master my previous write up, of the Trips Twin Te Slot Cross play, we can take full advantage of this play. For one it will look exactly the same pre snap. We motion the same WR and we snap the ball at the same point. This won’t let our opponent be able to key in on tendencies we may have. The end result is a completely different play that needs to be defended in a entirely different way. The focus of this play is the flood we are forming on the right side of the field. We have one man breaking to the left, one break to the right, and one breaking up field. Literally all you have to do is roll a bit to the right and wait for the play to develop, make your read, and dump off. Key in on the linebacker in the area, watch to see who he chooses to cover. There is no defense that your opponent can run that can cover this without manual coverage. Look to take advantage of this play with guys that user with there safeties. We of course then have our safety curl route on the left side of the field and also the fade route which is great for rocket catching.

Trips Twin Te- QB Draw

Setup

1. Slide protect up (aggressive).

2. Motion the inside WR.

3. Snap either before the Center or After the Center (will explain why)

Now this is a tactic that should only be used to keep the defense honest. If you run this play on a regular basis expect a few fumbles here and there. There is no reason however it can’t be run to keep your opponent on there heels. First you need to read how many players are in the box (dlinemen +linebackers and or safties in a linebacker position). Now we have 7 men on the LOS (line of scrimmage) at default. If you see 6 or less defenders in the box we know that we can pick up some serious yardage with our QB. We know this because once we motion or WR behind our offensive line we will now have 8 men to block for our QB. That gives us 8 blockers to there 6 defenders. Anytime you have a positive ratio in this aspect we will always have the advantage in the running game (use this tip for anytime your running the ball and you will see your yards per carry sky rocket).

When you motion the WR you need to make your mind up whether you are going to run right or left before you snap the ball. This once again needs to be based off of logic and numbers. Take a look at where the box is stacked up. If it is even we will want to attack the LOS (line of scrimmage) right behind the center. If it is stacked to the left we will attack to the right of the center. If it is stacked to the right we will attack to the left of the center. Depending on where we want to go with the ball will very when we snap the ball with the motioning WR. If we are running left we need to snap the ball right before the WR gets to the center. If we are running right we need to snap the ball right after the WR passes the center. Head into practice mode ASAP and work out the kinks. Remember to always hold the RB right before a big hit!

**Faster QB’s are best when using this play. However I have found QB’s with 65 speed or higher can still manage to gain 2-3 yards on average**
