Hey there! Really big fan of the website, just thought I'd share this defensive scheme with you. Lately my defense has been really rough in stopping the run. No matter what i did i couldn't get it right. So I took about an hour and 1/2 to figure out this scheme. I use Pittsburgh's playbook because i believe it is the best blitzing 3-4 book. The base play is in 3-4 normal. It's SS Blitz. I use the cheifs who have decent cb's which is somewhat required. On the base play, it's made to get pressure quickly on the pass and fill up the inside with outside support. The steps are as follows...
*Show Blitz
*Spread Dline
*Put CB's on Hook Zones that are inside leverage and stoping short routes(They can be in man if good enough)
*Move the RMLB or the (SAM) in the Right A gap and ReBlitz him
*Put the FS in a hook zone in slant crossing
This Looks the same as it does when you audible to man and show blitz. The SS and the FS are in the correct spots.
this is just a little sonfusion series that really helps me. if theres anything i need to add please let me know.
thanks, Nick
PS i did not expect to win a private chat from this 2 year old post ha lol
